Didier Travolta (Franck Dubosc) has the cutest disco moves in the whole town. Or at least he did back in the 80s when he ruled the dance floor with his group, The Bee Kings. But all of Didier’s big dreams and money-making schemes came to nothing.

Now he’s unemployed, living with his mother and separated from his wife, who raises their son in England. Didier wants to take his boy on vacation and sees his chance when local impresario François Jackson (Gérard Depardieu) decides to relaunch the Gin Fizz nightclub with a disco-dancing contest. The prize is a trip to Australia. Didier calls his Bee Kings buddies and asks dance teacher France Navarre (Emmanuelle Béart) to get them back into shape, but the competition is hotter than ever...

Because he had published the twelve Danish cartoons that had triggered the wrath of Muslims worldwide, Philippe Val, the editor of Charlie Hebdo, a French satirical newspaper, was cited to court by the Great Mosque of Paris, the World Muslim League and the Union of Islamic Organizations of France. Daniel Leconte has been covering this extraordinary trial in real time, aiming at deciphering the international political, ideological and media-related stakes with the key participants. The film features lawyers, witnesses, the media, editorial conferences, demonstrations of support... as well as the stances of intellectuals and politicians, the reactions of the prosecutors and of Muslim countries... A reflection on Islam, on the press, on the state of the public opinion in French society, but also an endeavor to answer the challenges that fundamentalism poses to all democracies.TRAILER

No girlfriend, no job, no home…Valentin (Marc Lavoine) has lost everything, except his dark sense of humour. The young man is squatting in his uncle’s empty apartment in a chic district of Paris. Hélène (Carole Bouquet), a strong, independent young woman, is living with her son Jeremy in the apartment next door. She’s a successful writer denouncing social inequality and prejudices. But reality may not lie in books.

Both Helene and Valentin will have to see beyond the appearances, as they might have more in common than just a doorstep. Humour and tenderness mingle in this bittersweet romantic comedy.
